The Future of Shireland |

Many people wished that Shireland would reopen some day. Those unfulfilled wishes were dashed when Thomas Smrt sold the property to L. B. Anderson. In December of 2007, Wade Light of L. B. Anderson approached the Village of Hampshire with plans of building a shopping mall (of some sort) on the Shireland property. I have not been past there since then and don't know if the company ever followed through with their plans Click here to see those minutes |
